How did you come across Scrapp?

When looking for sustainability solutions to support local authorities in the UK with waste management, exploring clearer recycling tools and improving engagement with residents, I came across the Scrapp solution.

What positive impact does partnering with Scrapp have for you and your customers?

The passionate and knowledgeable Scrapp team bring a fantastic energy to everything they do. The Scrapp solution enables local authorities to engage better with residents by educating and incentivising them to improve recycling, reduce contamination rates and deliver savings – this a unique solution supporting our public sector customers.

In addition, Scrapp have a fantastic solution for the private sector, us and our partners to improve recycling rates.

Why did you want to partner with Scrapp?

At Phoenix we are always looking for innovative ways to use Tech for Good as well as supporting entrepreneurship and start-ups.

Scrapp aligned perfectly with our values, and we can support them with their Microsoft products and developing relationships within the UK public sector.

What are you most excited about within sustainability?

The 2030 agenda for sustainable development goals has put greater emphasis on UK public sector organisations and businesses.

The Microsoft Cloud technology delivers impressive sustainability benefits, which presents a key opportunity for organisations to reduce their carbon footprint associated with computing sustainability strategies, increasing the demand for sustainable digital transformation across the sector’s workplaces, practices, and services. At Phoenix, we are really excited about supporting our customers to de-carbonise their ICT services and deliver real change for sustainability.

What is your favourite song and why?

To choose a favourite song is too huge a task – however, one song that always gets everyone up dancing is I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) by the Proclaimers. Yes – this is a really cheesy song, however, the lyrics are really romantic and at our wedding, the song was sung by different bands in different styles from a Rat Pack, Acoustic, Jazz/ Blues, Country, Indie and even a punk version. It was incredible and yes there was more to the backstory of this song, but that’s for another time.
